This module enables you to customise the LTC Organiser: you can add fields
to contain information that you cannot enter anywhere in the current version of
the product. With this module, you will be able to build your own personalised
page in the most common windows of the product. In each of these pages,
you can add static controls, data controls and even visual basic scripts.
You will find a Perso tab in every window of the software. Click on the square
button in the top left corner to make the two design boxes appear:
- Designer toolbox
- Component properties
A. Designer Toolbox
You have the choice of standard tools, which are simple components, or Data
Control tools, which will interact with the database.
Standard
You can find a selection of six controls:
- Selection
- Label
- Button
- Image
- Group box
- Panel
To select a control, click on it and place it wherever you want in the window
Perso. The name of the selected control appears in your window and also in the
Component Properties.
Data controls
- DB Text
- DB Edit
- DB Date
- DB Memo
- DB Combobox
- DB Checkbox

To use data control, two properties have to be set up:
Data Source = table to link to the control.
Data Field = which info you want to show from the table, such as name,
surname etc.
B. Component properties
Once a control has been selected in the Designer Toolbox, it will appear at the top
of the Component Properties window.
In the Properties tab, you will find the list of properties and values relevant to the
control. You will be able to give the name, place, colour and chose a font for
the selected control there.
In the Events tab, you will find the list of events relevant to the control selected.
You will be able to give a reaction to the control there.
To use data control, two properties have to be set up:
Data Source = table to link to the tool.
Data Field = which info from the table you want to show such as name,
surname, etc.
C. Examples of "How to …"
Add a new field to enter text in the client module:
1. Open the Client Management module.
2. Select the Perso page on the right-hand side.
3. Click on the design button in the top right corner
4. Two small windows appear on the left-hand side of your screen
5. Select the label button on the window called Designer Toolbox.
6. Click anywhere on the left-hand side of the Perso page
7. The text Label will appear on the page
8. Select the page Data Controls in the window Designer Toolbox.
9. Click on the button DBEdit.
10. Click on the right-hand side of the Label text and a new edit box will appear
on the page.
11. Now go to the Component properties window.
12. Select Label from the drop down list.
13. Click on the property Caption.
14. At the bottom of this screen delete the text Label and enter Client discount: and
press the green button next to it. The text Client discount: will appear on the
Perso page.
15. Return to the window Component properties.
16. Select DBEdit from the drop down list.
17. Click on the property Datafield.
18. At the bottom of this screen click on the button Create a new field.
19. In the dialog box, enter the field name _discount and press Create.
20. To save this new design click back on the design button on the top right
corner
The two small windows will disappear and you will now be able to add a client
discount to some or all clients.
Add a Combo box to select an option in the price list module:
1. Open the Price List Management module.
2. Select the Perso page on the right-hand side.
3. Click on the design button on the top right corner.
4. Two small windows appear on the left-hand side of your screen.
5. Select the label button on the window called Designer Toolbox.
6. Click anywhere on the left-hand side of the Perso page.
7. The text Label will appear on the page.
8. Select the page Data Control in the window Designer Toolbox.
9. Click on the button DBCombobox.
10. Click on the right-hand side of the Label text, a new edit box will appear on
the page.
11. Now go to the window Component properties.
12. Select Label from the drop down list.
13. Click on the property Caption.
14. At the bottom of this screen delete the text Label and enter Price type: and
press the green button next to it. The text Price Type: will appear on the
Perso page.
15. Return to the window Component properties.
16. Select DBCombobox from the drop down list.
17. Click on the property Datafield.
18. At the bottom of this screen click on the button Create a new field.
19. In the dialog box, enter the field name _priceType and press Create.
20. Back in the Component properties, click on the property items.
21. At the bottom of this screen click on the button Click to select.
22. In the dialog box, enter the field name Localisation, Translation, Revision, Interpreting
and press OK.
23. To save this new design click back on the design button on the top right
corner.
Add a Button to automatically open Ms-Excel:
1. Click on the design button on the top right corner of the Perso page.
2. Two small windows appear on the left-hand side of your screen.
3. Select the button on the window called Designer Toolbox.
4. Click anywhere on the left-hand side of the Perso page.
5. The text Button will appear on the page.
6. Now go on the window Component properties.
7. Select Button from the drop down list.
8. Click on the property Caption.
9. At the bottom of this screen delete the text Button and enter Launch Ms-Excel
and press the green button next to it. The text Launch Ms-Excel will appear
on the Perso page.
10. Return to the window Component properties.
11. Select the Event tab and Button from the drop down list.
12. Double click on the event OnClick.
13. A new window will open allowing you to enter Visual basic script.
14. Enter the text below:

16. To save this new design, click back on the design button on the top right
corner.
